Well, after almost 10 years of private practice with this lofty mission, this small family practice has grown to the point that we need a Super Team Player - Receptionist/Administrative Assistant (part-time/20 hours a week). This person will play a major role on the quality of how our company is run and presented.

Needing a responsible assistant who cares about seeing others get healthy for life, to manage details of a local nutrition practice.

Must be fairly computer savvy and be able to learn and use a central electronic health record system to help dietitian manage practice scheduling and many other administrative tasks, and be able to follow HIPAA and take confidentiality very seriously
Hours in general needed: Tuesdays-Thursdays, 10:00 am- 6 pm, and on average- 1-2 Saturdays of the month from 9:30- 2 pm. (These hours may be altered, but this is the estimated schedule at this time). Most of these hours are for remote work; however an in-person hours roughly could be 4-8 hours per week (1 to 1.5 days) for now, possibly increasing to more -in-person hours.
Must have an insured, working vehicle in good condition.
A major task every 1-2 weeks is preparing weight management program materials for new clients. This would be done in-person with pandemic precautions in place (well-fitted mask, office sanitation, etc.)
Apply marketing skills on social media and elsewhere to promote our practice.
Receptionist duties - Answer the phone in a professional and friendly way during working hours, setting up new clients, rescheduling, etc.
Will keep the main office neat and clean, help others with custodial tasks.
Will keep the filing cabinets and supplies in order and let the administrator know what is needed.
Keep all forms replenished.
Plan grocery list shopping for cooking demonstrations.
Current Safe Serve certification required and be maintained ( help can be given to acquire this).
Go through the main office preparation procedures in the mornings.
Will be trained on standard HIPAA privacy policies.
Some basic healthy cooking skills to prepare set menu items. More advanced cooking skills a plus. Clean, chop and prepare foods for cooking demos,
Some general bookkeeping and some customer charging (however, heavier tasks will be assigned to a biller) and communication to our biller.
Calling clients on a regular basis when needed.
Some errands outside the office,
Some in-person marketing such as at networking events.

EDUCATION AND PRIOR EXPERIENCE
At least some college/ health background indicating an interest in the field, a major plus.
An interest in evidence-based health and wellness preferred.
At least 1 year experience with direct customer service, be comfortable with clients while sitting at a front desk, on the phone, for example - scheduling, rescheduling, describing services and more.
1+ years office or secretarial/receptionist or administrative work required
Must feel comfortable with, and preferably be proficient and creative with, social media.
Note: We are looking to hire a well-suited candidate in the next several weeks, and are anticipating the position to be filled by mid-October.
